In life we can have a lot to overcome. Some more than others from our up bringing or where we lived. In the world in which we live in, there will be many injustices, hard times, low times, all while navigating life with the wounds we carry around inside of us. It’s the nature of life. The world in which we live in. We must learn to understand this, yet we can individually change generational patterns, in which changes generational trauma. And this is happening today. Thank goodness. We can too. But, how do we deal with it when it’s heavy and we feel worn out?
By building our resilience muscle every single day, but in a way where we are developing empathy, understanding, grit and grace. Committed to building it each day/. It becomes easier, second nature over time just like anything else. Being aware of resisting becoming cold and cutting, a protecting mechanism that can fall into. But, also being aware of not staying in a poor me, entitled mentality pattern either.
I think the middle ground is acknowledging the wound, the struggle. What has happened and is happening now. And learning to process the pain, so we can heal, learn and grow from it. So it doesn’t define us or continue to steal years from our life and harden us. Processing our own pain can help us to understand humanity and the world in which we live in. We then can give grace not only to ourselves but others.
I think there is great wisdom that can come from the darkest times, and seeing things in this way I think is true grit. And getting through it builds our resilience. Instead of choosing to numb out, avoid and accumulate resentments inside, we can choose to keep going and grit it out, no matter what!
. I don’t think anger or rage is bad. It seems quite often we are told it is and we must learn to rid away such emotions. But, they are emotions and I don’t think suppressing them will be a good thing either. We are human after all, and emotions are part of is. I think it’s common to be afraid of our intense emotions though. I know there was a time in my life where I was. I had to learn to be with them. But, not stay in them. But to learn and allow them to come and go as they do. But, let me be very clear here, our anger and rage shouldn’t be directed to towards people. I’m not saying that. Rather feeling our emotions like anger, rage gives us information about things in our life and about ourselves. For k stance we can learn what feels good and what doesn’t feel good, we can learn what are values and believes are, where our hard lines are etc. And emotions can motivate us to change, heal and evolve. And that anger and rage can also be the very thing that gives us strength to fight though things in life each moment, each day, by learning to channel it.
Yes, it can be uncomfortable at times to feel our emotions, in order to process and get through things. So that it’s not festering inside of us where resentments are made and hate, emptiness, isolation and unhappiness. And a victim mindset. This pattern only adds to the straggles.
As we process it by learning from what it, and what it wants to teach us. And how we are going to make the changes necessary to heal, grow, and become the person we have the potential to be. This is grit, resilience.
We just have to keep building our resilient muscle each day. Keep getting up, keep fighting through things no matter how uncomfortable. Keep learning from things, keep getting up everyday with hope, with our visions in mind for our life and never letting go of that vision, no matter what, no matter what anyone tells us.
Believe in yourself!!!!
And believe that ANYTHING is POSSIBLE! Anything!
And YOU CAN, WE CAN BREAK GENERATIONAL patterns to BREAK GENERATIONAL TRAUMA.
Until next time, keep smiling.
